The coastel cities Jávea / Denia of the Comarca Marina Alta (province Alicante) have climatic conditions, which you can find almost nowhere else in Europe, with more than 300 days of sun, a very mild winter season (up to 20° C in January) and a pleasant, warm summer season (29° C on an average).
Due to the particularly favourable geographic location and the magnesian mountain range of the "Montgo", the climate is ideal for cure and recovery from heart, lung and cardiovascular diseases, rheumatism, arthrosis and asthmatic disturbances.
For that, the city of Dénia has been dedicated the climate monument by the World Health Organization (WHO), which you can see at the end of the ‘Esplanada’ at the port. The clean sea water and the silica sand assist the healing from skin and joint diseases.
Medical and dental care is extraordinarily good in the region of Jávea / Dénia. Qualified general practitioners and medical specialists, public and private hospitals and special clinics, several health and wellness centres, as well as emergency medical services and stations of the Spanish Red Cross are at your disposal, guarantee comprehensive health care and do in no way rank behind any similar institutions in Northern Europe.
