With its diversified landscape at the coast as well as upcountry, an extraordinarily mild climate during the whole year and a nature-friendly infrastructure, this place provides its visitors tantalising holiday offers. The short winter and recognised healthy climate are the main reasons why so many people, living in the colder regions of Europe, have either settled down forever or at least regularly “overwinter” in Jávea / Dénia and the surrounding area.
The coastline permanently alternates between small bays and extensive beaches, such as the sandy beach Arenal with its beautiful vast promenade which is about 6 km away from Balcon al Mar.

More places of interest: the gothic church ‘Església de Sant Bertomeu’ and the convent ‘Nuestra Senora de los Angeles’, as well as the archaeological and ethnological museum ‘Soler Blasco’. At the port, the modern, hull-shaped church ‘Nuestra Senora de Loreto’ dominates the narrow alleys and white, slender, old fishermen houses – a thrilling contrast.
Cultural institutions and exhibitions are abundant. Numerous detailed information and photos of Jávea / Dénia and the surrounding area can be found in the internet, e.g.:
